Patch Day

Annual Girl Scout Patch Day

Explore history with a guided tour of the Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum and the Bolling Home where First Lady Mrs. Wilson was born. Learn about her life “From Wytheville to the White House.” Imagine what life was like for young Edith, who was the 7th of 11 children growing up with her grandmother’s 26 canaries. The home had no electricity or indoor plumbing! The program features a visit by Edith herself, who will share how her life was similar and different from life today. Scouts will take pride in their heritage as they learn about how Mrs. Wilson became the First Honorary President of Girl Scouts. Each Girl Scout will receive a specially designed patch featuring Edith Bolling Wilson's personal signature and canary emblem. The Edith Bolling Wilson Patch Event promises to be a day of fun, fellowship, and excitement! Contact debbie@edithbollingwilson.org for more information or to register.

Participants may attend as individuals or with troop (caregiver will need to stay during the program).

$10/attendee (includes patch)

Contact Debbie Wilkerson to register: dwilkerson@edithbollingwilson.org, or 276-223-3484.
