Vision

Help Our Mission

The Edith Bolling Wilson Birthplace Museum is a space where visitors come to learn about the life and legacy of First Lady Edith Wilson, and to understand her significance in a broader historical context. To guarantee that we are able to provide the highest quality programming and materials, we appreciate your support and assistance.

Your contribution will help us in a variety of ways:
  • The creation of new educational programs and materials:  With your assistance, the museum will be able to dedicate time to the development of educational programs that will add a deeper understanding of Mrs. Wilson’s legacy and her place in the 19th and 20th centuries. This includes expanding upon the broader historical themes affecting the United States and the world in during this period. These programs consist of the development of scholarly materials, curricula, and other items for educators locally and beyond.

  • Accessibility:  Your contribution supports our ability to facilitate accessibility to all visitors on-site and virtually.  This includes, for example, innovative new technologies such as our “Scan to Listen” program and Virtual Tours.

  • Research:  We continue to manage and develop our archives in order to make our materials more widely available to the community at large.  Your contribution will allow the museum to continue the digitization and preservation of documents, photographs, and other irreplaceable items connected with the history of the First Lady and the Bolling, Wilson, and Galt families.
